BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 14 July 2023 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 34 senior officers of Royal Armed Forces Brunei (RBAF) have been promoted today, 02 of which were from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Commander Nor Ariwwin bin Mohd Ali, RBN promoted to Captain, RBN and Acting Commander Pg Norkumilasari binti Pg Hj Azahari, RBN to Commander, RBN.
The insignia presentation was presented by Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, the Commander of RBAF, at the Officers' Mess, Bolkiah Garrison.
Also present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Defence II, Acting Permanent Secretary, Service Commanders, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Directors and senior officers of the Ministry of Defence as well as family members of the promoted officers.
The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat recited by Captain Abdul Mu'iz Azizi bin Zulkifli, Officer from the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA'AT) to bless the ceremony.
